William and Laura Adams founded The Chicken Salt Co. in 2017 shortly after moving from Sydney to London. Our mission is to import authentic chicken salt and sell it to hungry people across the UK and Ireland; British and Irish people who miss chicken salt after trying it on holiday alongside Australians and Kiwis living abroad.

We do everything ourselves; website hosting and design, label designs, social media and purchasing labels, bags and postage, as well as importing chicken salt from Australia. In a way this gives us a huge amount of flexibility to help customers and businesses alike, decision making is… well pretty simple with just two people!

The Chicken Salt Co. is a start-up company based in Hersham, Surrey registered as a limited company called The Chicken Salt Company Ltd (Company Number 12197687). Our website is the face of the company using Starling Bank connected to the following payment processors:
- Shopify Payments for debit card, credit card and Amex payments.
- PayPal Business for PayPal payments.
We have the required food hygiene certificates in order to import, process and pack chicken salt in accordance with the EU General Food Law (Regulation (EC) No 178/2002).

Business Opportunities
Are you in the business of partnering with us?
We sell our Trade Pack (2kg) online however if you need a larger quantity for your business (i.e. chicken salted chips at a pub) get in touch with us via the contact page. Deliveries in 2021 are irregular due to the pandemic so 2kg is usually our limit per order.
The Founder
The Chicken Salt Co. was first dreamed of in 2017 by William Adams; a chicken salt devotee and Londoner who lived in Sydney for 11 years and is now an Australian citizen. You can find him on Facebook or Twitter if you’d like a chat.

Why hasn’t anyone done this before?
That is both a good question and a very good question. We’re not sure ourselves. If we’re not the first, what happened to the previous attempts? Chicken salt is dynamite and it practically sells itself!
